ABOUT ME

My name is Catherine, and I have been a teacher since 2003. After ten years of working in inner-city public schools in Dallas, I followed my dream of teaching overseas. The transition from Dallas to Seoul also involved a transition from Social Studies to English, where I've had the opportunity to explore an entirely new side of teaching, to continue to create and to challenge myself in new and exciting ways.

I have also the wonderful opportunity to pursue my Masters of Arts in Education through the University of Northern Iowa program with a team of people that are not only supportive, but excellent educators.

Teaching overseas has allowed me to fuel my passion for creativity and for inspiring students to strive for their best selves. The opportunity to see students from vastly different circumstances has reaffirmed my core belief that all children need guidance and deserve the best education possible. I hope to continue to connect with other educators who share this foundational belief and push the boundaries of what is possible in education. Let's go light that fire and show the world what kids are made of.
